I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season, whether you celebrate or not. Ours was pretty laid back this year which was nice.
With the holidays wrapping up I’m looking forward to getting back into my regular routine. I have a few photo shoots coming up and I want to make sure I look my best. No, that doesn’t mean I don’t think I look fine now or that I’m going to go to extremes to achieve the look I’m after, but I am excited to see what I can do over the coming weeks.
The best part about my prep for this is that I get to do it with my amazing online bootcamp ladies! We just started up the facebook group yesterday and we are all starting together on the 4th. I’ve run online programs before but I’ve never fully participated with them – so I’m really excited!
I’m so excited to be working with such a motivated group of ladies and can’t wait to get to know them more and watch them crush their 8 week program – the support community we have is pretty awesome and I’m excited to interact with everyone. I’ve been sharing my starting pics all over the place so why not here as well?
Along with photo shoot prep we have a lot of exciting things happening at the gym – a bunch of our university athletes are home for Christmas break which has been awesome.
3pm session today including athletes from Carleton, Guelph, Ottawa, McMaster, UofT and Buffalo. They may be opponents on the field, but it’s great having them all in training together and working hard over the holidays. A photo posted by Powerhouse Training Systems (@powerhousetrainingsystems) on

Along with the busy gym I’ve been growing and expanding my digital marketing business. For those that may not know (because I tend to not share a ton about it on here) I’ve been doing freelance social media management and marketing and recently launched my website. My mission is to help other entrepreneurs turn their passion into profits and it’s been so much fun working with other people to help them realize that they can make money doing what they love. If you want to check out my site it’s www.TheMarketingNewbie.com and I’ve also been scoping social media tips that you can check out on my Katch account HERE. I started off my periscope account intending to talk about fitness but it’s grown and blossomed into my digitial marketing platform and I kinda dig that.
So that’s what I’ve been up to lately. It’s been a very busy year for me both personally – I got married! – and professionally; we doubled the size of our strength and conditioning facility, Powerhouse Training Systems, I officially started my digital marketing company, have continued to freelance for various publications, and I wrote a book!
I have some pretty lofty goals for 2016 and after seeing all that I did this year I’m more than ready to tackle them.
What are you most proud of in 2015?
