Hey friends, how was your weekend? Ours was pretty stellar over here. In fact I decided to link up with Katie for the first time ever for MIMM (Marvelous in my Monday).
Our favourite powerhouse pup turned 2 on Saturday! I baked him some sweet potato peanut butter oat treats and he got some extra love (not like he’s not completely spoiled all day every day here at the gym and at home).
Saturday evening we just vegged and watched some episodes of Homeland.
Sunday morning we went to Steve’s grandma’s place for lunch with some of the family. It was a nice visit and I left totally satisfied with a belly full of delicious home cooked food. In the evening we decided to do dinner and a movie but were still a little full from lunch so we decided just to go out for apps beforehand.
Score that nachos happened to be on for 1/2 price!
We wound up seeing non-stop with Liam Neeson and both enjoyed it.
This morning I didn’t have any clients in early so I took advantage and did a bunch of stuff around the house. I vacuumed, steamed the floors, hard boiled some eggs (in the oven), prepped dinner and got started on making some homemade Greek yogurt. I’ve been making my own for a few weeks now and absolutely love it!
When I finally got going to the gym I was so excited just to get there and get rolled out but I realized I forgot my cell at home – bah! I was beyond annoyed and had to go home (which in all honestly is less than a 10 minute drive) to get it. I was all frazzled then I changed the radio station to hear this song:
I’m sorry, you can’t be mad when this song is on. It instantly reminded me of a Night at the Roxybury and a smile immediately broke out on my face.
When I got back to the gym I busted out my squat workout and did up some client programming afterwards. Currently I’m doing a more full body approach to my training. It will still be more upper or lower focused but it will have some full body lighter accessory work thrown in too. To check out my workout from today click on the Training & Food Log tab. Well that’s all I’ve got for you today, I have a super busy boot camp class in in a little bit. I’ll be posting a protein cookie recipe up tomorrow.
