Hey there! I know I’ve been a total slacker this past week with posting and everything. We’ve had a lot going on around the gym and my laptop at home is testing my sanity each and every day. I really do need to bite the bullet and get a new one but there are just so many other things that I need and I’m having a hard time taking the plunge. 

Anyways let’s do some updates with what’s been going on:

I have a new post-workout food obsession. Greek yogurt with frozen raspberries & blueberries, hemp seeds & chia seeds. It is sooooo good and exactly what I want after working out; something cool and refreshing

 I have discovered I really enjoy taking pictures of my cat Chester. He is a creeper and sometimes thinks he owns the house but I just love him. Steve bought him for me as an anniversary present two years ago and it was the perfect gift – made even more perfect by the fact that he really didn’t like cats at the time so for him to get me a cat was really awesome.

This past weekend I had some of the girls from boot camp over to my house on the weekend for a little nutrition talk. I am truly blessed with the great people I get to work with and interact with on a daily basis. Everyone always tells me I’m a ball of energy but it’s hard not to be positive when you do something you really love each day.

We had a great time chatting and hanging around my house. One of the lovely ladies brought me these lovely tulips which Chester seemed to really take a shining too. They are in full bloom now and cheer me up every time I sit down at the table.

I have also become obsessed with making London Fog teas at home. A London fog is basically an earl grey tea with delicious foam on top. Making your own is super simple too. Just take some low fat milk (I use almond) and heat it up in the microwave for 30-45 sec. Then wisk the milk (with the wisk between your palms) for 15 sec until the milk becomes frothy. I may just have to make a youtube video explaining this. The milk keeps it foamy goodness right till the end. Starbucks better watch out!
We’ve been eating pretty well at our casa lately. I’m back on a sweet potato kick and made them into oven baked fries the other night. I used some smokey BBQ seasoning and I love the contrast of somewhat sweet with salty. Totally delicious.
I’m super excited for tomorrow and will fill you guys in accordingly. I’m meeting someone I’ve been looking forward to for a while now and can’t wait!

    babe! you brought tears to my eyes! oh my goodness I already know I am going to love you. I think we will pretty much become instant best friends 😀 I hope you know tomorrow IS NOT the ONLY time we will be meeting. I want to be one of those girls who comes over and talks about nutrition! hahahaha <3
