Well hey there! How was everyone’s weekend? Ours was pretty good over here. Friday night we wound up staying in – we were going to try and make it out for a little bit of Amy’s night out but by the time Steve finished up at the gym, showered and ate, it was pretty late. Friday is definitely a quiet night of the week for us, we’re both usually so burnt out from the week that all we want to do is crash out – plus, we both have clients in Saturday morning.


Saturday night was a different story though and we wound up going out to check out the London Lightning basketball game with a couple guys from the gym. Before we went out I whipped up some grub:

Parmesan pork chop, broccoli casserole and zucchini in marinara sauce. Hit the spot!


We’ve been a few times as Steve’s dad has season courtside tickets but this was the first game we went to that went into overtime. We wound up winning 118-114. It was definitely an awesome game.



When we got back home our official greeter was waiting with anticipation even though we’d only been gone a couple hours.




Once Tyson had finished giving us tons of love we retreated to the basement to watch some episodes of 24. Oh Jack Bauer, when will you learn. We’re currently mid 3rd season.


Sunday was just a relaxing day. We had our typical late breakfast and lounged around the house for a bit and then I met up with my mom for a late lunch.

Neither of us were all that hungry so we sipped on some steamers and split this delicious Greek salmon salad. The salmon was warm and cooked perfectly. Soooo yummy!


That about sums the weekend up! Let’s get to my grocery haul, shall we?


Ok so I’ve had a lot of people ask what types of things I buy in any given week so last week I thought I’d take pictures of everything and post about it. I’m trying to do one big Costco and Wal-Mart trip once every 2 weeks and then get fresh veggies and things every week to save on time.


Here’s what I picked up last week during my haul:

Whew! Ok so those are some of the staple things I pick up once every couple weeks. We’re not having too much fruit right now with the whole backloading thing and I did get other little things like spices and some random items but these are the bulk of it. I also didn’t have to get any pasta or rice because I’m fully stocked in that department.


I don’t always buy that much meat but there were some awesome deals on. When that happens I portion it out and put it in freezer bags until we need it. That way all I have to do is take it out the day before to let it thaw in the fridge.

It does make for a more expensive bill and a longer shopping trip but this way I only have to do it twice a month.

You can click on an event and it’ll give you a little rundown of what I did for that particular workout including any pictures or video of the workout. I’ll also be uploading my training videos (which I haven’t done in forever) there so you can actually watch that training session.


Also, I’ll be updating people on what I’m eating for those who are curious (with pictures when possible). These will be done separately (I know some people can be triggered by seeing what others eat) and you can search the calendar by type of workout (strength, HIIT, other) or food and bunch of other stuff.


It’s pretty bare right now because I just started but it’ll fill up quick! It’s a great way for me to update you all quickly so you can see what I’m up to 🙂 Go check it out and let me know what you think. It’s like being able to stalk someone….in a non-creepy way….if that makes sense 😛
