Another week has flown by and we’re almost at the weekend. I have been all over the place this week with everything from online clients to in-person clients, to my super awesome new project that I’ll be able to fill you in on next week, to freelance work to taking care of gym and house stuff. This song sums up my life right now.

I filmed some fun dumbbell combos for some of my online clients and posted them to my other site so go check those out if you’re looking to spice up your training.

Since I enjoy reading other people’s favourite things I thought I’d join the party and post some things that I’ve been loving lately.

Our gym vacuum broke last week *sad face* and since we can’t go a day without vacuuming I knew I had to get something ASAP. I ran out to Wal-Mart and picked up this Bissel 2 in 1 cordless stick vac and have been loving it so far. It only has a 25 min battery life but it is so light and easy to manoeuvre, plus anything without a cord is a win in my books. Also, it was on sale for $40 so it was definitely a good steal.

I know I shared this on Monday and that the picture isn’t impressive but this oatmeal raisin chia overnight oats creation is rocking my socks right off. I’ll try and make it look pretty and then share the recipe.

Favourite songs this week…they’re on repeeeaat.

Nicki Minaj – Trini Dem Girls

Twista – Beast

Tech N9ne – Hood Go Crazy

I blame Steve for getting me hooked on Tech N9ne

The last time I was at Dollarama I saw this conditioner and conditioning treatment and decided to give it a whirl.

I don’t use shampoo….well maybe a few times a year so I’m always on the hunt for good conditioning products. For a few bucks I figured it was worth a shot, plus the stuff is made in Canada and cruelty free. I mean, I have a lot of hair and so I try to save money on styling products when I can.

me lots of hair

I am in love with this stuff! I put the deep treatment on at the beginning of my shower or bath and put my hair in a bun and leave it in the whole time I’m in there. It feels so silky and smooth when I rinse it out. The mousse has been doing a great job of keeping my hair frizz free without leaving it feeling crunchy (I hate that). I am definitely going to pick up some of the hairspray and stock up on more when I go back.

They also sell this Garnier lotion there that will make your skin feel oh-so-soft. It’s $3 there and in stores it goes for $6+. Soft skin for the win!

On another note it’s only been two weeks since I said I was going to try and lean out a bit for summer and I’m super happy with how things are going. I’ve just made a few tweaks to my diet and macro timing and things are moving right along.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Question? What are your plans for the weekend?

I’m looking forward to spending some time with my mom and future mother-in-law this weekend. They have been so helpful with everything to do with the wedding.

You don’t use shampoo? Your hair always looks so nice! Maybe this is the secret trick? So do you just put conditioner on it?

Yes, I just condition unless I have a crazy crazy build up of product. But on average I’d say I shampoo once every 4 months or so. My hair dries out so easily so the no shampoo helps keep some moisture.
