Whew! What a whirlwind couple of weeks it’s been. With my birthday, Mary’s (Steve’s mom) birthday and then Steve’s birthday yesterday it’s been a busy long weekend. Thought I’d give all of you a quick recap of the weekend and then I promise I’ve got some pretty kick ass recipes and nutrition posts to come.

Ok so I already discussed my Friday leading up to the party here so I’m going to just dive right in.

We arrived at Steve’s parents house just after 7 and I noticed something was different about the front of their house. I kind of had to do a double take but to my giddish and utter delight I realized there was this…..

Fun Regardless of Age!

Yes that is a bouncy castle. Steve asked how it felt to be a 25 year old with a bouncy castle at their birthday party and let me tell you something, it feels pretty fantastic! The bouncy castle started as a joke which stemmed from Steve’s sister Amy’s birthday party last year. We have joked on and off about it and I couldn’t believe that they actually got us one!

There was bouncy fun with the girls, the dog even came in for a bit and there was at one point a wrestling match. There may have also been some very late night 2am bouncing going on…

After getting my heart rate up jumping around in the castle I returned to the party to say hello to everyone that came out to celebrate with us. Steve’s family did such an amazing job putting everything together and I really can’t thank them enough for everything they did for Steve and I.

And just a whole lotta love!

The whole night was waaaay more than I could have ever asked for. I am so thankful everyday that I have so many people around me who love me so much. Steve and I are both extremely fortunate and know that we wouldn’t be where we are today without their love and support.

Saturday Steve and I spent relaxing and watching movies together which was just what we needed. Sunday was Easter lunch (which was amazing) and led to some chocolate consumption by all.

I had such an amazing weekend and hope all of you did too! Yesterday was Steve’s actual birthday and I’ll have dinner recap pictures and a recipe to share with all of you tomorrow.
