What is the point in going balls to the wall with exercise and healthy eating for a couple weeks only to slip right back? Some people make such drastic changes for short little bursts that it’s no wonder they fall back to old habits. You need to be consistent with what you’re doing day by day, week by week, month by month.
Are you going to slip up? Most likely. But don’t let that derail you all together. You need to be consistently practicing a healthy active lifestyle in order to make positive changes in your life.
Even if the changes are small, if you are consistent and stick with it over time you can adjust to meet your new needs. Don’t not start because you are afraid to fail. Take baby steps and keep at it. Everyday remind yourself why you are doing this and why it’s important to you and you will see changes.
The point is you shouldn’t jump on and off the health bandwagon. No you cannot make up for 2 months of doing nothing and eating like crap with 2 weeks in the gym and then stopping again. Can you get back on track? Absolutely! However to do so you need to be committed to your goals, whatever they may be.
