Well hey there!
First of all I wanted to say thank you to all of you who commented, emailed or shared my last post. I got so many emails – some nice, some not so nice – that it actually crashed my server haha. It’s back up and running today though so if you emailed me and think I’ve been ignoring you I haven’t!
I actually want to address a couple things that people called me out for. #1, yes I do use protein powder in a bunch of my recipes to make them healthier/fit my macros and goals. I made a lot of protein powder recipes while I was prepping for my bikini competitions because I had a very specific goal in mind. I do not live or subsist on Dooley solely healthified versions or franken-food on a daily basis. I do use zucchini as ‘noodles’ no I do not consider parsnips to be actual ‘fries’. Do I make protein powder crepes and pancakes sometimes? Yes, sue me. They taste delish.
#2 some people actually called me out for associating with some of the very people I was speaking about on various social media platforms. It’s not in my nature to be mean or nasty to others. Just because I disagree with what they’re doing doesn’t mean I’m going to tell them to f&!k off if they comment on something of mine. I actually kinda hope they view my instagram and realize that you can achieve your goals and enjoy delicious non-healthy food once in a while.
I like that my post elicited some discussion though, whether positive or negative. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this little space on the internet is where I get to express mine. On a kind of related note, I’m pretty happy Dr. Oz got called out for promoting his bullshit ‘miracle pills’ on his show.

Moooving on…. things are finally settling down after a bit of a hectic couple weeks filled with birthdays, baptisms and charity work. I’ve been volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society and am helping organize their 5km obstacle course run ‘Grapes of Wrath Sparta‘.
I’ve been loving helping out with the event, it’s extremely rewarding to give back to an organization that helps so many people. If you live in or around London it would be awesome for you to register. You can sign up as a team or an individual and it’s open to participants 14+. I also mentioned a while ago that I was starting to macro cycle again and had a couple people ask how it was going. I’m slowly but surely leaning out while still enjoying my favourite foods. I track my macros during the week and just keep things in moderation on the weekend. I’m not about to stress out if I want to enjoy some cake or ice cream…or both. I’m leaning out just for me, not for a show or event so slow and steady is just how I want it.
I’m currently still doing two lower carb days and the rest are the same. My low carb days still have a minimum of 100g of carbs too, usually around 150g. On my other days I eat anywhere from 200-300g depending on my training and stuff. I’m trying to increase my carb intake slowly. We’ll see how it goes!
A lot of you have been asking me to update my training log, I promise I will by the end of the week! I also have a couple new HIIT workouts for you.
