Well I finally got a new laptop! After months of fighting with my old one I finally bit the bullet and got an HP Chromebook last week.

She is a thing of beauty.

I already use my Google docs for just about everything and have my Samsung Galaxy synced up so it was an easy transition. It is definitely a different operating system but it is absolutely perfect for what I will be using it for.

In other news, I was asked the biggest question of my life last month.

September 6, 2014

It was an amazing weekend. He proposed at the cottage on a hike with Tyson.

Yes, I have an embarrassing amount of pictures of my ring but I love it so much.

We have been enjoying being engaged and everything that comes with it. We’re planning a destination wedding for sometime next November and our family and friends have already been so amazing helping out with everything.

This past weekend was Thanksgiving and it was a wonderful weekend filled with delicious food, great weather and family.

We spent Saturday evening at Steve’s parent’s house where I asked his two sisters a special question:

I have the most amazing bridal party 🙂

And Sunday my sister, mom and I took a girls mini road trip to visit my Aunt Darlene in Innisfil:

My mom’s serious Russian face

After enjoying two full Thanksgiving dinners Steve and I were happy to come in to the gym Monday to workout. One of the many perks of owning a gym is that it can be open whenever you want it to be.

We spent the rest of the day lounging around trying to find a new show to watch on Netflix. Does anyone have any suggestions? We’re looking for something with lots of action like 24, Sons of Anarchy, etc.

I have so many awesome, wonderful things coming up in my life and am excited to start sharing more of them with you. These past 4 months have been crazy busy as I’ve taken on some new projects and working on a side business that I’m really excited about.

Hopefully this is the start of some more regular posting around here as I’ve got lots to share, I just have to make the time.

Question –

Any wedding – specifically destination wedding – tips?

OMG your ring is simply stunning! I kind of had a destination wedding. We flew into my home town 2 days before the wedding, and left the next day. It would not be my first choice for a good destination though! The only thing I really struggled with was my dress – they made some alterations to it and because I couldn’t get back in time for a new fitting, I had to lose weight to fit into it. Given how email-dominant society is now, I don’t think destination weddings are really an issue anymore – but just get your dress locally 😉

I’m between two dresses right now and am going in next week to make the final decision. You looked gorgeous in your dress, I’ve seen the pics. From what I’ve heard destination at a resort should be a laid back affair which is just what we’re looking for. I just couldn’t reason to spend a ton of money for a one day affair when we could use that money for a reverse hyper or something fun 😉

Congratulations on the engagement! Your ring is absolutely gorgeous!

Have you watched The Walking Dead? I totally didn’t think I’d be into it because of the gore but started watching when I needed a new Netflix series and got hooked. I would definitely recommend giving it a shot!
