Hey! How was everyone’s long weekend? I am still recovering from a head/chest cold but all in all I can’t complain. The cold couldn’t have come at a more inopportune time though as last week I was testing my one rep maxes. I missed my box squat attempt (just couldn’t stay tight at the bottom) and hit 145lbs on bench. I’ve done 160lbs before but it was really ugly and my butt came off quite a bit, so I was happy with 145lbs and good form. I also repped out 95lbs for 27 and it was exhausting! I’ve never been so drained from a bench session.

On Friday I hit a new deadlift PR and managed to pull 335lbs and 340lbs.

I’m now starting a new training cycle and am excited to see the kind of progress I can make in the coming weeks.

While I was working out some server issues on the old blog, I put together some new posts on my other site, The Fit Foodie Shop that I thought I’d share.  You can click on any of the images to read the article.

I’m off to finish up some programs for some new online clients and then I’m going to relax and watch an episode of Game of Thrones. Check you guys later.

Well done on the PRs! I love how your dog is always at the gym with you 🙂 I think if I were there I would probably pay more attention to him than doing my workout (woops)

That happens quite frequently with myself and my clients…he’s pretty adorable and a total suck.
